Camitz Vodka – “CO2”
February 5, 2007
Some typical Swedish music for you to listen to as you read:

The best feature of this carbonated vodka is that, because it comes corked and in a champagne bottle, you tend to forget that it’s 40% alcohol – and you pour tall glasses instinctively. Oups!
The worst feature is that you can’t effectively recork the bottle, so the bubbles eventually escape and the vodka goes flat. That’s right, I said the worst aspect of this drink is that it turns from exciting, sparkling vodka into… perfectly drinkable regular vodka. I know – I know.
Swedes manage to get a few things right. Here’s one of them, ‘by Camitz & Lindberger’.

“like stars, the brilliant sparkle of bubbles illuminates the moment”
What can’t the Swedes do!
Blondes! Lingonberries! Metal! Smörgåsbords!
They make a fish into jelly by using lye.
They consume the choicest samples of this product domestically, and export the rest.
My people like to make mistakes then stick with them.
While they export bad black metal, they’re hoarding good stuff like [EXPURGATED] at home!
I must interject:
I think that Sweden exports some of the best pop music.
I would agree! It’s so harmless and poppy.
Sidenote: You know Herbie! (). I saw him when I was in Philadelphia in January and he said that he knew someone that went to the McGill library school (which I go to now). Is this you?!
I make an effort to be a less (outwardly) critical person, so I will refrain from further pejorative remarks about Sweden’s derivative pop music scene(s). Except to direct you to this youtube link.
…And I’ll quietly point out that you were the one who sneered at Mates of State.
What are you talking about? I love Mates of State. When did I ever sneer?!
Oh? Really?
Hmm. My mistake.
I retract my statement and offer you one nyckelharpa.
Yes!
I met Herbie briefly when he was playing a show here in Montreal. I am not currently studying at McGill.
You are most welcome to interject!
But that does not prevent you from being wrong.
Wrong.
I am sad that you are missing out on
this, this, this, and expecially this.
you heard me.
