May 13, 2007

A Bulgarian-made “lemon juice drink” produced by a company based in a nowheresville mountain town of Balkan Greece… PLUS this:

“How can you possibly resist the fruit?” she asks.

Mmmmm, Florina! They sell that in shops here you know (well, the local Notwegian shop). And the city is pretty, pretty.
What do you mean ‘the local Norwegian shop’?
Aren’t most shops near you ‘Norwegian shops’?
No, NoTwegian – as in Not-Norwegian. As opposed to the standard NoRwegian stores where I buy milk and cheese and stuff, my local Notwegian shop has food from Asia, the Mediterranean and the Middle East. With funny letters on the package (The feta cheese with Turkish on the side is made in Denmark, the one with the Arabic script is made in Germany).
HA!
I really just thought you made a typo, since ‘T’ is adjacent to ‘R’.
He, no I’ve been thinking a lot about that one – unfortunately _nobody_ gets it :(
Well, it makes no sense in Norse…
Maybe a hybrid pun, like Neiwegian?
I think the Notwegian is kind of cool, Neiwegian is kind of too hybrid for my taste (it’s possible!)
I used it to mark my links back in the days, Norwegian / NoTwegian. Sadly people tend to read what they want it too say, not what it says.
To complicate the matter further, “nor” is already used for negation in English – so “Norwegian” could easily be parsed as “NoTwegian” in a phrase/pun like: “Neither Dansk, Norwegian”.
PS
Yes – the town is nice, and so easy to drive to.
Re: PS
He! It’s unplottable!
I think I’m a little jealous that I don’t have a fruit necklace with orange earrings.
You can make it yourself!
It is very easy. The only problem is that you have replace it every day (or half day, depending on the weather), and of course the flies…. (they have been photoshopped out of the picture:)
Personally I like the grape bracelet.
She wants you to be jealous. Florina® is a vixen.
