Kazbegi COn – “COLA WITH LEMON”
November 3, 2007
While I’d rather talk about all this rather than this, far be it from me to digress.

Kazbegi brand CON : For only 80 Tetri, I get a mediocre lemon/cola blend that…
“is made by the method of hot boiling of sugar powder, by mixing aromatic compounds and natron benzyl. Then the mass is filtered, saturated with carbon (carbonic acid), it is cooled by ice water up to 0-3 degrees and bottled. Then the product is poured into containers. The basic ingredients are made from natural products in the scientific research center of ‘Kazbegi’ JSC.“
Sound good?

I could imagine that kind of marketing language working for an energy drink, but somehow I don’t think that’s what those folks were going for…
Something about “natron benzyl” and “carbonic acid” sounds X-TREME to you?
Totally X-TREME. X-TREEEEME even. The can should have, like, a lime green alien with a bunsen burner or something. No seriously, it would play into the sort of engineered, designer energy drink niche, even though it’s not actually saying anything interesting or unusual.
I don’t think that sort of angle would fly in Georgia anyway.
I’d expect something more traditional, like this:
Oups. Well, that does have lime green fire.
See?!
